FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FIRE Code

The Ontario Fire Code now requires a knowledgeable technician to perform necessary work and annual inspections for fire alarm systems. The Fire Marshall has deemed the Canadian Fire Alarm Associations (CFAA) “Fire Alarm Technology Program” acceptable to satisfy the requirements of Clause 1.1.5.3.(1)(a) of the Ontario Fire Code. Aderik now has staff certified by CFAA to service fire alarm systems.

DSL Service (High Speed Internet)

New installations in homes and businesses of a high-speed data service called DSL is now proceeding. This service provides an "always-on" data connection to the internet, using the existing telephone wires already connected to the premises.

All installations will require a so-called Splitter and/or a Filter to be installed by local telephone company or internet provider. In all instances, when the DSL installation is completed, a check to ensure that the existing security system is still able to properly communicate with the central station must be done.

Whereas we believe that there should be no problem with our panels operating when both the security equipment and the DSL service have been properly installed (i.e. - panel is properly line seize wired and the DSL installation is done according to the installation guidelines), we recommend that an Aderik Technician check the system completely after the DSL installation is complete.
